Our CLB Robotics teams (along with Red Lake and Northeast Range High School teams) represented at the 45th National AISES Conference, in Palm Springs, CA this past week!
The AISES National Conference has become the premier event for Indigenous STEM professionals and students, attracting over 2,000 members and attendees from the U.S. and Canada, and as far away as Alaska and Hawaii. AISES stands for American Indian Science Engineering Society.
The annual AISES National Conference is a one-of-a-kind, three-day event focusing on educational, professional and workforce development! Attendees include Indigenous high school and college students, educators, professionals, tribal nations and tribal enterprises, universities, corporations, and government agencies.
Our teams took part in the AISES STEM Day and an exhibition booth at the AISES College & Career Fair! The College & Career Fair had 225+ booths from corporations, government agencies, and colleges that day. Our set-up was front and center of the Fair. Our students and chaperones shared about the teams' robotics programs-history, present, and future with other HS students, college students, corporations such as Amazon, IBM, Apple and so many more!
Frost and I even saw a few of our CLB alumni and MN locals there! Sierra Charwood attended with her UMN program, Josh Briski and Jerome Johnson with the LLTC Stem Program.
This was a phenomenal trip for our students and teams. For some, it was their first time traveling out of state, on an airplane. We are also so proud of how our students represented and conducted themselves on this trip. It was a fun experience for all.
